About Me

Hi! I’m Jen.

I’m powered by coffee—like, seriously, I don’t think I’ve made it through a day without at least one cup (but usually three).  Outside of therapy work, I spend a lot of time behind an old film camera. It’s a creative outlet that helps me stay in the present moment.

I’ve been on a spiritual journey since my teens, diving into meditation and different healing practices beyond traditional therapy. But I’m also the kind of person who’ll show up to a meditation retreat with a true crime podcast playing or blasting music that’s anything but spa music. Healing looks different for everyone—this is just my style.

I work with adults in Massachusetts and California who are navigating OCD and anxiety—two things I understand on both a professional and personal level. Having lived with OCD myself, I know how debilitating it can be. I also know firsthand that when provided with therapeutic approaches backed by real research, things can get better. That’s what drives me to do this work—I want people to know that life doesn’t have to revolve around OCD or anxiety, and you don’t have to figure it out alone.

If you haven’t been formally diagnosed I can help you figure out if what you’re experiencing is OCD or an OCD related disorder. My approach blends practical tools that are rooted in what’s been shown to be effective for many people navigating OCD and anxiety, but I also trust the importance of intuition, connection, and seeing you as a whole person—not just a diagnosis. Therapy with me is structured but never stiff— It’s grounded, supportive, and leaves space for you to show up exactly as you are.

I use a mix of proven strategies to help people manage OCD and anxiety—including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Inference-Based CBT (ICBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also weave in mindfulness and self-compassion because these practices can really support lasting change. I’m certified in the Gottman Method, an evidence-based approach originally designed for couples, but I apply its insights when working with individuals. I love helping clients with OCD and anxiety navigate relationship challenges—whether relationship OCD, relationship anxiety, or simply wanting to feel more grounded in their relationships.

I’ve been working in mental health since 2007 and have worked with a wide range of people in different settings. This experience has helped me become a well- rounded therapist. Below is a short list of the training and experience that most shapes how I work with clients today.

  • Inference Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT) for OCD intensive training through The OCD Training School and The Cognitive Behavioral Institute

  • Certified in Exposure and Response Prevention, The Cognitive Behavioral Institute

  • Certified Gottman Method Therapy, level 1

  • Master’s in Social Work, Portland State University 2012

  • LCSW: CA 76670

  • LICSW: MA 123789
